If your furnace is short-cycling, check the filter first — a clogged filter causes the limit switch to trip. If the filter is clean, then the switch itself may be failing.

Description
If your furnace is short-cycling (turning on and off repeatedly), a failed pressure switch may be the cause. This is a two-hose-port pressure switch that activates at -0.20″ water column, used on Nordyne-manufactured furnaces sold under the Intertherm and Miller brand names.
