We bench-test parts free before you leave — so most problems never make it home. Here’s how we handle the rest.

Warranty guidelines
Out-of-box failures are rare — fewer than 1 in 1,000 parts we sell — because we test parts before you leave. When a new part doesn’t fix the problem, the usual culprit is a second failed component, not a bad part. Bring it back and we’ll help you re-test and track down the real issue, free.
- Parts and equipment carry the manufacturer’s warranty — terms and duration are set by the manufacturer. Open To Public HVAC Parts is not the warrantor.
- We handle manufacturer warranty claims right at the counter — within reason, for up to 1 year from purchase. After that, the manufacturer’s warranty still applies and can be filed by any contractor with a distributor account.
- Call for warranty support first at (214) 340-9421 and receive a return authorization before removing the failed part from your system.
- DIY installs are covered — just provide clear photos of the installed part (wiring connections and model number) so we can verify it was installed correctly. Warranty doesn’t cover damage from incorrect installation.
- One warranty replacement per item purchased. Balanced parts (blower wheels, fan blades) carry a 30-day warranty.
- No warranty on parts used outside standard HVAC applications (pool pumps, etc.) or on electrical step-down transformers.
- Warranties are handled at management’s discretion. We provide no warranty or guarantee on advice, testing, or installation services.
Return policy
We help you match and test the part before you buy — so returns are the exception, not the rule. When you do need one:
- Returns must be initiated within 14 days of purchase, with your receipt.
- A minimum 20% return fee applies to all returns, at management’s discretion.
- No returns or cancellations on electrical, special-order, discounted, or installed parts.
- Special-order and custom items not picked up within 30 days are non-refundable.
- Verifying the part is right for your repair is your responsibility as the purchaser — bring your old part or a photo of your unit’s nameplate and we’ll help you get it right the first time.
