WH2TZ6024STANNJ – AIR HANDLER (5 TON, R410A, 24″, SEER2)
Do not size a replacement by matching what is already there - a lot of what is out there was oversized when it went in, and an oversized system short-cycles and leaves the house clammy. And ask for the AHRI certified match number, not just the tonnage: the condenser is only half the system.

Symptoms of failure
- No response at all when the thermostat calls
- Board LED flashes a fault code, or shows nothing
- Blower or inducer runs constantly and will not stop
- Visible scorch marks, a blown fuse or a bulged capacitor on the board
- Furnace works intermittently with no pattern
- Relays on the board click but nothing downstream energizes
Seeing these does not always mean this part is the culprit. Bring the old one in and we will meter it at the counter, free, before you buy.

Installing it yourself
- Power off at the furnace switch and confirm 0V.
- Photograph EVERY connector before you unplug anything. This is the step people skip and regret.
- Check the obvious first - a blown 3A fuse, a tripped rollout, a bad ground. Most boards that get replaced were not the problem.
- Unplug connectors one at a time and move them to the new board as you go.
- If you are fitting a universal board, the harness and the DIP switch settings are part of the job - those switches set the safety timings.
- Match the flash-code chart on the new board's label, not the old one. Codes are not standardised between brands.
- Restore power and watch a full heat cycle end to end before closing up.
- We do not run full diagnostics on boards at the counter, but bring the furnace model and the flash code and we will help you work out whether the board is really the failure.
Power off at the disconnect first, every time. Not sure partway through? Bring it to the counter and we will walk it with you.

Do you sell complete systems to homeowners?
Yes. We are open to the public and there is no contractor licence required to buy equipment from us. Installing it is a different question - gas, refrigerant and electrical work carry real code and safety requirements.
Can I install this myself?
In Texas the homeowner exemption lets you work on your OWN home. It explicitly does not extend to a friend or a handyman doing it for you. Refrigerant work also requires EPA certification to purchase and handle refrigerant.
How do I know what size I need?
Do not just match what is there - the old unit may have been wrong from the start. Sizing follows from a load calculation on the house, not from square footage rules of thumb, and an oversized system short-cycles and never pulls humidity out.
What is an AHRI match and why does it matter?
The certified performance of the condenser, coil and air handler working together as a set. A condenser is only half a system, and the rating on the box assumes a specific match. Ask for the AHRI certified match number on any quote.
Do you deliver?
Everything is sold at the counter for pickup - we do not ship and we do not sell online. 10226 Plano Rd, Suite 104 in Dallas.
Can you help me work out what I need?
Bring the model number off the existing equipment and photos of the installation. We will work through it with you at the counter.
