QT1105 – FLUSH CAN ACCESS VALVE
Outdoor coil cleaner and indoor coil cleaner are not the same product - outdoor cleaners are aggressive and are not meant to sit in a coil above your living space. And chemicals will not open a drain line that is already plugged; vacuum it clear first, then use a tablet to keep it clear.

What do I use to clean a condenser coil?
An outdoor coil cleaner, rinsed thoroughly. Work from the inside out where you can, so you push the dirt back the way it came rather than driving it deeper into the fins.
Is coil cleaner safe on an indoor evaporator?
Only if it is labelled for indoor or no-rinse use. Outdoor cleaners are far more aggressive and are not meant to sit in a coil above your living space. Read the label - the two are not interchangeable.
How do I clear a plugged condensate drain?
Vacuum it out from the outdoor end first. Chemicals are for keeping a clean line clean, not for dissolving a blockage that has already formed. Once it is flowing, a tablet in the pan slows the regrowth.
What causes the slime in the drain pan?
Biological growth in standing water on a cold wet surface. It is normal, it happens every year in Dallas, and a pan tablet plus a yearly flush keeps it from becoming a ceiling stain.
Do I need to be certified to buy these?
No. Read the label, wear eye protection, and keep coil cleaners off your skin and out of your eyes.
