RD-HS11/2 – SOLID METAL STRAP (1.5″X100′)
Do not cinch hanger strap directly around flex duct - it necks the duct at every hanger and you lose airflow invisibly. Strap above a wide saddle instead. Perforated saves drilling; solid carries more load.

Metal strapping (hanger strap) is used to support ductwork, piping, and HVAC equipment from joists and framing. This solid (non-perforated) 1.5″ strap is the heavier-duty option — use it when you need more strength for heavier loads like large trunk ducts, equipment, or bundled pipe runs. Galvanized to resist rust.

Perforated or solid strap?
Perforated hanger strap has holes along its length so you can screw through it anywhere without drilling - fast for hanging duct and equipment. Solid strap is stronger and used where you need the load carried without the holes weakening it.
What is it used for?
Hanging duct, supporting equipment, bracing, strapping a water heater. It is the general-purpose metal strapping on the truck.
Can I hang flex duct with it?
Not directly on the duct. A narrow strap cinched around flex necks it down and chokes the airflow at every hanger. Use a wide saddle against the duct and the strap above it.
How much is on a roll?
100 feet.
Do you stock both?
