The real job here is keeping sun off the line insulation - bare insulation on a south-facing Dallas wall goes brittle and crumbles, and then the suction line sweats and you lose capacity. Screw the base on first, lay the lines in, then snap the cover.

This end cap finishes off the end of a galvanized metal line set cover run. If you need an extra cap for a second run, or if you lost the one that came with the cover, this is the replacement. Matches the standard 4″ galvanized line set cover profile.

What is a line set cover for?
It hides and protects the refrigerant line set where it runs down an outside wall - the insulated copper, the control wire and often the condensate line. It keeps UV off the line insulation, which is what makes bare insulation crumble after a few Texas summers.
Do I have to use one?
No, but line insulation left in the sun turns brittle and falls apart, and then you have a sweating line and lost capacity. On a visible wall it also just looks finished instead of improvised.
What size do I need?
Big enough for the line set plus the insulation, with room to route it. Our 4 inch channel handles typical residential line sets.
How does it attach?
Screw the base channel to the wall, lay the lines in, then snap the cover on. Corners, elbows and end caps are separate pieces.
