Before replacing, try cleaning the sensor rod with fine steel wool or a dollar bill. That fixes it about half the time. If it still shuts off after 3–5 seconds, replace it.

If your furnace lights but shuts off after a few seconds, a dirty or failed flame sensor is the most likely cause. The 632484R is the OEM flame sensor for Nortek-manufactured furnaces sold under the Broan, Intertherm, Miller, and Nordyne brand names.
