62-24164-03 – SPARK IGNITOR (5/16″ QUICK CONNECT, RHEEM)
Spark ignitors arc to ignite the burner — cracked porcelain, a rounded-off electrode tip, or carbon buildup means it's done. Snap a phone pic of your existing connector before driving over, or just bring the old one in and we'll match it at the counter.

If your Rheem furnace uses spark ignition (not a hot surface ignitor) and won’t light, this OEM spark ignitor is the replacement. It has a 5/16″ quick connect terminal — make sure yours matches before buying. Rheem also makes a version with a round pin (62-24164-01).
Replaces: 62-24164-03
Fits: Rheem and Ruud furnaces with spark ignition systems using 5/16″ quick connect.

How do I know if my spark ignitor is bad?
Furnace tries to fire but no audible spark or visible arc at the burner. Pull the ignitor — cracked porcelain or a rounded-off electrode tip means replace.
Are connector styles interchangeable?
No. Round pin and 5/16" quick-connect are NOT interchangeable on the same OEM family. Verify your existing connector before ordering — or bring the old part in.
How long do spark ignitors last?
5-10 heating seasons typical. Hard-water condensate, corroded burners, or a control board firing too many cycles per call all shorten life.
