5K002 – MOTOR BRACKET (CARRIER/ICP CONSTANT TORQUE OR 3/4HP PSC)
Power off at the breaker and the disconnect, then put a tape on the motor shell before you buy a band. Frame size is just body diameter, and 5-1/2 inch and 5 inch bands are not interchangeable no matter how close they look on the shelf. Check the bolt circle on the housing and count the arms too - 3 arm and 4 arm bands land on different holes. Bring the old band in if you still have it and we will match it.

Motor mounting bracket in the genteq Evergreen 5K0xx mount range. The manufacturer currently lists 5K003 (10 in.), 5K004 (11 in.) and 5K005 (13 in.) belly bands but not this number, so no manufacturer specifications are published for it. Note that the Carrier/ICP reference in the product name is the equipment it fits, not the maker. Confirm band size, leg count and motor diameter before ordering.
Specifications from our own stock records. The manufacturer does not publish a public page for this item.

How do I size a belly band?
By motor body diameter, which is what frame size is telling you. A 48 frame motor is 5-1/2 inches across, a 42 frame is 5 inches, a 29 frame is about 3.3 inches. Measure the motor shell, not the end bell. Then check the bolt circle, because short-arm bands cover roughly 6-7/8 to 8-1/8 inches and long-arm bands cover about 8-1/8 to 12-1/8 inches.
Three arms or four?
Match what came out. Most direct drive blower mounts are 3 arm, but a number of Rheem, Ruud and Lennox blower housings use a 4 arm band on a specific bolt pattern, and a 3 arm band will not land on those holes. Bring the old band or a photo of the housing.
Can I reuse the old band on a new motor?
Only if the new motor is the same frame diameter and the rubber isolators are still soft. Those grommets are what keeps blower hum out of the ductwork. If they are hard, cracked or oil soaked, replace the band. It is a cheap part, and a hardened isolator sends noise straight into the house.
Does band position on the motor matter?
Yes. Center it so the shaft ends up at the same depth in the blower wheel as before, and orient the motor so any weep or drain holes point DOWN. On a condenser motor mounted shaft up, drain holes left plugged or facing up will hold water and take the bearings out, which in our summers is a fast death.
