Before replacing the gas valve, rule out the ignitor, flame sensor, and pressure switch first. The gas valve is rarely the problem — test the cheaper parts first.

Description
If your furnace won’t ignite and you’ve ruled out the ignitor and flame sensor, the gas valve may need replacement. This is one of the most common single-stage replacement valves — it crosses to dozens of OEM numbers from Goodman, Lennox, Rheem, and more.
