Vacuum pump oil lubricates and seals the internal components of your vacuum pump. Clean oil is essential for pulling a deep vacuum when evacuating an AC system — dirty or contaminated oil reduces pump performance and can prevent you from reaching the target micron level. Change your oil between jobs for consistent results.
