35+10X440 – DUAL CAPACITOR (ROUND, MADE OVERSEAS)
Bring the old cap in — we bench-test it free at the counter, and you'll know in two minutes whether it actually failed. Match the MFD exactly; voltage can go up (440V replaces 370V) but never down.

If your AC won’t start, hums but doesn’t kick on, or runs but won’t cool, a bad capacitor is the most common cause. This 35+10 MFD dual cap powers your compressor (35 MFD) and condenser fan (10 MFD). Cost-effective option to get your AC running fast.
Replaces: 3510X440, CD3510X440R, LCD3510X440R
Fits: Fits most residential HVAC systems using this value. Bring your old cap or model number — we match at the counter.

How do I know if my capacitor is bad?
Classic signs: AC hums but the outdoor fan won't spin, compressor won't start, or the system short-cycles. Bring it to the counter and we'll bench-test it free.
Can I use a higher MFD rating than the spec?
No. Match MFD exactly to the data plate. Higher MFD pulls more amps and will burn out your motor windings. Voltage rating can go up (440V replaces 370V), but capacitance has to match.
How long should a capacitor last?
Texas heat shortens cap life. Expect 5-7 years on a residential cap; less if your unit bakes in full afternoon sun. Cheaper imported caps fail sooner — we stock USA-made Titan HD if you want the upgrade.
Do I need to discharge it before removing?
Yes. Even an "off" cap holds a 240V+ charge that'll bite hard. Short the terminals together with an insulated screwdriver for 5 seconds before disconnecting.
